Editorial Policy
Last updated: June 23, 2026
Retail Operations Toolkit publishes practical, accurate, and independently produced retail guidance. This page describes how we plan, write, fact-check, and update our content.
Editorial Standards
- Every calculator is built from a published formula and validated against worked examples.
- Every article and template is reviewed by Bhanu Prakash, the publisher and editorial reviewer of this site, against his 14+ years of retail technology and operations experience before publication. As the site grows we will add named external reviewers and disclose them here.
- Industry benchmarks are aggregated from public retailer filings, trade publications, and practitioner experience. Where exact numbers are unknown, we publish ranges, not point estimates.
- We never alter content to favor advertisers, affiliates, or partners.
- Affiliate links — if and when they are added — are disclosed inline and on the Affiliate Disclosure page.
Sources & Fact-Checking
We rely on a combination of primary sources (company filings, retailer interviews, on-the-ground operating experience) and reputable secondary sources. We cite numerical claims wherever possible and update articles when better data becomes available.
Corrections
If you find a factual error, please contact us via the contact form. We update the article, note the change at the bottom, and acknowledge the contributor where appropriate.
Affiliate & Sponsored Content
Where we recommend tools or templates, we may receive an affiliate commission. Our editorial team selects recommendations independently of these arrangements. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
Content Refresh Cycle
Calculators are reviewed quarterly. Articles are reviewed annually or whenever underlying benchmarks shift. Time-sensitive content (benchmarks, trends) is dated and refreshed proactively.
